BESTTRANSPORT SIGNS NUCOR-YAMATO

BESTTRANSPORT SIGNS NUCOR-YAMATO    BestTransport.com, an online transportation application services provider, has signed up steel heavyweight Nucor-Yamato Steel to implement the company’s software for connecting shippers and transport carriers.
   Nucor-Yamato, a U.S.-Japan joint venture that makes wide flange beams and other steel products, will use BestTransport’s web-based integration technology to initiate and manage transportation contracts with its core carriers, execute rules-based transactions and communicate load status from scheduling pickup to proof of delivery.
   Nucor-Yamato is BestTransport’s first client in the U.S. steel manufacturing industry.
