Betenia to direct Lufthansa Cargo sales in U.S., Canada    Lufthansa Cargo has named Thomas Betenia as director of sales in the U.S. Northeast and Midwest and Canada, effective Jan. 1.
   Betenia succeeds Bernhard Kindelbacher, who is moving to Lufthansa Cargo headquarters in Frankfurt as senior vice president of marketing.
   Betenia, who will be based in New York, will be one of three regional managers reporting directly to Jurgen Siebenrock, vice president of sales for the America, which encompasses both North and South America.
   Betenia has been director of sales planning and steering for the past three years, based in Atlanta. He joined Lufthansa Cargo in 1980 and has held a range of executive posts in U.S. sales, including sales manager Southeast and Southwest, Florida, the Caribbean and Central America.
