BG LNG Services selects GAC for hub agency contract
GAC, the Dubai-based shipping agency, supply chain logistics and offshore marine support services provider, has been selected by BG LNG Services as the sole provider of hub agency services for its worldwide liquefied natural gas tankers.
BG LNG Services is a subsidiary of BG Group plc, listed on the London and New York stock exchanges.
Under terms of the agreement, GAC-RUR, the result of a merger between GAC and Rice, Unruh, Reynolds in early 2005, will provide hub and port agency services and other solutions such as ship spares logistics.
'GAC will focus on providing BG with a tailored list of shipping services based on efficiency and safety amongst other key performance indicators, and drawing upon our vast LNG market expertise,' said Bob Bandos, GAC-RUR’s president.
