Bi-National Chambers presents leadership award
The Association of Bi-National Chambers of Commerce in Florida (ABiCC) has selected Nobel Peace Prize winner Professor Muhammad Yunis of Bangladesh for its 2007 'Leadership in Global Trade' award.
Yunis, who came to Coral Gables to address the group and accept the award, received the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for developing the concept of microcredit as a means of starting new businesses in developing countries. Microcredit is the practice of providing small loans without collateral.
