Bicil to lead Toll logistics in Europe/Mideast

Bicil to lead Toll logistics in Europe/Mideast    Toll Global Forwarding, the forwarding and logistics arm of major Australian public company Toll Holdings, has appointed Hakan Bicil as regional managing director for Europe and the Middle East.
   Bicil replaces John Gomes, who is retiring from full-time work but will retain a consultancy role in the business.
   Bicil's has previous experience with Schenker and Kuehne + Nagel, most recently as K+N's senior vice president of global business development.
   TGF is part of a group that traces its history back to the coal haulage business founded in Australia in 1888 by Albert F. Toll. The business was eventually the subject of a management buyout in 1986, and has since made more than 60 acquisitions. Hong Kong-based TGF itself has 65 company-owned offices across 26 countries in Asia, Australia, the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa — within a global partner network totaling more than 700 sites in 45 countries.
