The three lines rationalized capacity on the transpacific by combining services that had previously called ports in North and Central China separately.
According to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data, the previous version of the service used larger vessels, but one fewer, than those to be deployed on the service beginning July 10.
The reintroduced service, called Eagle by MSC, TP2 by Maersk Line, and Yang Tse by CMA CGM, will be run with six ships with an average capacity of 6,500 TEUs.
