BirdDog fetches Foley Services    BirdDog, a motor carrier services company, has acquired Glastonbury, Conn.-based Foley Services, a nationwide provider of U.S. Transportation Department regulatory compliance services.
   Andover, Mass.-based BirdDog can now assist transportation companies with their drug and alcohol testing programs while helping them comply with the DOT's pending implementation of Comprehensive Safety Analysis 2010.
   “This acquisition bolsters our position as the single-source provider of regulatory compliance and financial services for small to midsized carriers — the cornerstone of the trucking industry,” said Joel L. Sitak, BirdDog’s president and chief executive officer, in a statement.
   BirdDog's carrier services business unit will operate under the brand Foley Carrier Services.
