BIS seeks comments on ag export controls for Cuba

   The U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Industry and Security is taking comments from the industry regarding the effectiveness of licensing procedures for agricultural exports to Cuba.

   The agency plans to use these comments in its biennial report to Congress, required by the 2000 Trade Sanctions Reform and Export Enhancement Act. The agency’s report will cover the operations of the licensing system fro the period Oct. 1, 2002 to Sept. 30, 2004.
