BIS updates SNAP-R

BIS updates SNAP-R    The U.S. Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security has made several updates to its Simplified Network Application Process system, effective April 20.
   These updates include:
' Block 15 addition for CCAT work item, which allows the BIS-748P paper form Block 15 equivalent for inclusion of a third party company name and full address or 'other party authorized' to receive a copy of the validated commodity classification, including full name and address.
' Inclusion of unit and unit of measure commodity metadata, which allows the capability for the applicant and/or third party submitter to enter this information for each product and/or technology contained on the license application request and make it available to the BIS licensing officer upon work item review.
' Automate Hong Kong foreign country denotation, which ensures accurate review and accountability for export license applications destined for Hong Kong.
' Edit end user and export item information, which gives the ability to add and edit end user and export item information in export license, re-export license, and AGR license exception applications, as well as export item information in commodity classification requests.
More details are available on the BIS Web site.
