Blue Point Capital purchases Rapid Freightways

Blue Point Capital purchases Rapid Freightways    Blue Point Capital Partners, an investment firm that has started focusing on Southern California transportation and logistics operations, said Monday it has purchased Rapid Freightways, a Los Angeles-area transportation and logistics services company that specializes in the consumer electronics industry.
   Rapid Freightways provides supply chain services for international and domestic goods, offering warehousing, domestic and international shipping, and freight brokerage.
   The purchase of Rapid Freightways is the second acquisition under Blue Point's 'transportation and logistics investment initiative' targeting the Los Angeles basin. Blue Point previously purchased V&S Transportation, another Los Angeles-area transportation and logistics services company.
