BNSF offers interactive rail map

   BNSF Railway has launched a new interactive map highlighting events and activities along its 32,000-mile rail network.
   Visitors to the Website can click on markers containing links to news updates, community projects, photos and videos of BNSF trains in action, along with historical information.
   The map, found at https://map.friendsofbnsf.com/railways, is powered by the Google Maps engine and gives users a bird’s-eye view of the entire network, while allowing them to zoom in on any part of the rairload’s network. 
   The videos on the site include visits to historic sites and national parks. The “train’s eye” videos were made with HD cameras attached to the outside of two BNSF locomotives to capture the scenery along two routes.
   BNSF operates more than 1,000 trains a day in North America and is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway.
