BOC Aviation orders five A330-200 freighters

BOC Aviation orders five A330-200 freighters Asian aircraft leasing company BOC Aviation (formerly Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise) has signed a firm contract with Airbus for five A330-200 freighters. Financial details were not disclosed.
   Airbus launched the A330-200F last year and said the widebody aircraft provides 30 percent more volume than any other freighter in its class. The plane can accommodate both pallets and containers and is capable of carrying 64 tons of cargo up to 4,000 nautical miles (7,400 kilometers) in standard “range mode,” or 69 tons up to 3,200 nautical miles (5,930 kilometers) in “payload mode.”
   Singapore-based BOC, with representatives based in Europe and the United States, is wholly owned by the Bank of China.
