Boeing receives Malaysian, Iraqi airline orders    Kuala Lumpur-based Malaysia Airlines confirmed Monday it has placed a firm order for 35 Boeing narrow-body 737-800 aircraft.
   The deal with Chicago-based Boeing also provides Malaysia Airlines with options for an additional 20 aircraft.
   The firm order has a list price of $2.6 billion, although the estimated actual price of the transaction, according to analysis by the Seattle Times, is $1.6 billion.
   Built in Renton, Wash., the 130-foot-long 737-800, a direct replacement for the 737-400 and an indirect replacement for the McDonnell Douglas MD-80 and MD-90, can carry nearly 1,600 cubic feet of belly cargo in the model's standard passenger configuration.
   Boeing also confirmed reports Monday that it finalized a deal to provide the government of Iraq with 30 next-generation 737s and 10 787 Dreamliners. The list price of the deal would be $3 billion, but the Seattle Times pegged the total sale at closer to $2 billion depending on which variants are ultimately ordered.
   The order, with Iraqi national carrier Iraq Airways, will be booked once the final contract has been signed, Boeing officials said.
