The Seattle-based aircraft manufacturer’s previous record of 877 net orders was achieved in 1988, and included the pre-merger Boeing and then-McDonnell Douglas totals.
In 2005, the 737, 777 and 787 aircrafts all achieved individual records with net orders of 569, 154 and 235 respectively. Boeing said it also received 43 net orders for the 747 plane and 15 for the 767 aircraft.
