Bolero.net, the electronic communication system operator,
announced a joint venture agreement with Mitsui & Co., Sanwa Bank, Sakura Bank and
Hitachi.
The new venture company, Bolero Service Bureau (BSB) Solutions Ltd., will
promote bolero.net in the Japanese market. Based in Tokyo, Bolero Service Bureau Solutions
will be run by Hiroshi Haneda, who was previously the head of the payment solutions
project of Sanwa Bank.
Bolero.net, based in London, said that the Japanese joint venture will act as
a gateway to the Bolero system. It will also provide sales and consultancy services for
"bolero.net enabled" products and interfaces that are being developed by third
parties.
