Bomb hoax at North Carolina port The FBI is reportedly investigating a threat that a bomb was planted at the Port of Wilmington, N.C.
   The Star-News, located in Wilmington, N.C., said a threat that a nuclear device had been planted at the port and would detonate on Wednesday afternoon was phoned into a Wilmington television station Tuesday evening.
   Though the threat was not considered credible, the port gave employees the option of taking a vacation day on Wednesday, and some took the option. The port remained open.
   Ports authority police responded to the threat, along with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies and did a sweep of the terminal that gave no indication of any device, the paper reported.
