British Airways enhances pharmaceutical product    British Airways World Cargo said Wednesday it is rolling out improvements to its temperature-controlled product for pharmaceuticals, which it calls “Constant Climate.”
   The carrier said it has invested in a new dedicated product care team, an exclusive SMS text messaging customer update service and has broadened the scope of this service to include passive temperature-controlled packages and shipments.
   The new elements are being launched globally this month and are being implemented following consultation with pharmaceutical forwarders.
   The SMS service updates customers by text message or e-mail at key milestones through the air freight journey around the clock. For Constant Climate Active shipments using Envirotainers, the exact temperature inside the unit and the condition of the battery are included in the update.
