Bromma increases investment in Far East

Bromma increases investment in Far East    Stockholm-based Bromma Group, a market leader in the manufacture of crane spreaders, has entered into a definitive agreement with Singapore-based Portek Systems & Equipment Ltd. to purchase Portek’s 50 percent equity interest in Bromma Far East, the Asia sales and customer service arm of the Bromma Group.
   The move lays the groundwork for increased investment in marketing and customer support operations in the Asian business sector. Bromma already operates a major crane spreader factory in Malaysia. Gaining a 100 percent financial interest in Bromma Far East sets the stage for geographic expansion of Bromma Far East in the years ahead, the company said in a statement Thursday.
   Bromma manufactures more than 1,600 spreaders each year at factories in Scandinavia and Asia.
