The road will be closed through 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Griffin Road runs along the south edge of the airport, and the roadwork will affect that approach to the airport. The area can still be approached from the east via Highway 1, which runs along the east side of the airport.
Officials at neighboring Port Everglades have also alerted users about the temporary road closure.
