Broward County trade leaders honored

Broward County trade leaders honored Two Broward County officials known for their work in promoting international trade will be honored as exemplary Hispanic business achievers at the upcoming third annual Diamantes of South Florida Gala.

   The honorees are Broward County Commissioner Diana Wasserman-Rubin, a strong proponent of international trade for South Florida, and Carlos Buqueras, Port Everglades business development director.
      'This is a terrific achievement and honor for both Commissioner Wasserman-Rubin and Carlos Buqueras, whose marketing expertise has been instrumental in Port Everglades' success as a national leader in containerized cargo and the cruise industry,' Port Director Phillip C. Allen said.
