Broward mayor to address local commerce group

Broward mayor to address local commerce group    Broward County Mayor Joseph Eggelletion Jr. will address the Broward Alliance mid-year meeting and chairman's reception Thursday in Fort Lauderdale.
   The alliance is Broward County's official public-private partnership for economic growth, or a local version of Enterprise Florida, the state's public-private partnership created to replace the state Commerce Department. The Broward Alliance has a committee devoted to international trade and attracting international businesses, headed by Manual Almira, Port Everglades' assistant director for business development.
