Buffett increases BNSF stake
Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Inc., already the biggest shareholder of Burlington Northern Santa Fe, the second-largest U.S. railroad, has bought a further 10.1 million shares in the Fort Worth, Texas-based company, increasing its stake to nearly 15 percent.
Omaha, Neb.-based Berkshire also has shares in two other major U.S. Class I railroads, Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern.
