Busan port reports no problems from typhoon
A spokesman for the Port of Busan, South Korea said the port reported no damage from Typhoon Ewiniar, which rocked the southern part of the Korean peninsula Monday.
Winds in the storm reached speeds of nearly 70 mph and caused at least six deaths, according to Reuters.
In order to prevent damage from the typhoon, port authority officials convened a meeting Sunday and established a disaster control research center. The port authority also ordered small vessels berthing at Gamcheon Harbor to move away to safe ports and required terminal operators to protect port equipment from the typhoon.
