C.H. Robinson’s 2nd-quarter profits up 35%

C.H. RobinsonÆs 2nd-quarter profits up 35%    Minneapolis-based trucking and multimodal logistics provider, C.H. Robinson, Tuesday reported a 35 percent rise in net income during the second quarter to $66.6 million, compared to $49.3 million in the same quarter 2005.
   The company's income from operations increased 29.4 percent to $103.9 million from $80.3 million. Revenue increased 21 percent to $1.7 billion from $1.4 billion.
   After six months, C.H. Robinson's net income was up 36.9 percent to $124.7 million from $91.1 million in the first half 2005. Income from operations increased 32.6 percent to $196.4 million from $148.1 million. Revenue increased 22 percent to $3.2 billion, compared to $2.6 billion after the first six months last year.
