C-TPAT seminar offered in Miami on March 5 Former U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials of the firm Global Customs Security Consulting will hold a Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism seminar in Miami on March 5.
   The firm’s C-TPAT Validation and Tier III Workshop will be chaired by former CBP C-TPAT supply chain specialists who have conducted more than 100 foreign validations during their time at the agency, said Gary L. Heffner, chief executive officer.
   Heffner said the seminar will provide companies with “inside” knowledge to assist them with the process of C-TPAT validation or re-validation, or with pursuing Tier III status. “This seminar will afford companies the opportunity to ask specific questions on what to expect during or prior to validation,” he added.
   According to Global Customs Security Consulting, the seminar has received accreditation from the Washington-based National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America’s Educational Institute for 6 CCS points and is sanctioned by the Florida Foreign Trade Association.
