Callahan named COO of Global Link Logistics

Callahan named COO of Global Link Logistics Import logistics services provider Global Link Logistics, a subsidiary of Palo Alto-based Golden Gate Logistics, has named Christine Callahan chief operating officer. Callahan will be based at the company's headquarters near Atlanta.
   Callahan has more than 25 years experience in ocean freight and logistics. Prior to joining Global Link Logistics, she was vice president of global ocean freight services at UPS Freight Forwarding. She has also served as vice president of ocean freight services at Menlo Worldwide Forwarding and has held other related management positions in pricing, sales, operations and regulatory compliance. She is a former president of the International Association of Non-Vessel-Operating Common Carriers.
   Global Link Logistics provides, ocean, brokerage, air and consolidation services, specializing in services to the North American home furnishings industries. Home furnishings are the largest manufactured commodity carried on transpacific carriers.
