Campbell to head Maryland Aviation Administration

   The Maryland Transportation Department has appointed Tim Campbell to executive director of the Maryland Aviation Administration, effective Dec. 6.

   Campbell replaces Paul J. Wiedefeld, who headed the administration for about three-and-a-half years.

   Since 2000, Campbell oversaw operations at the Salt Lake City International Airport. He has more than 30 years experience in the airport industry, with management posts held in Nashville and Knoxville, Tenn.; Broward County, Fla.; Newport News, Va.; and Boston.

   He also serves on the board of the Airports Council International — North America, and he is chairman of the International Association of Airport Executives.
