CANON SIGNS WITH MAERSK LOGISTICS
Canon has announced its first step toward centralized warehousing and distribution within Europe by contracting with Maersk Logistics to consolidate Canon Consumer Imaging’s national operations for Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Maersk Logistics will replace Canon’s operations in those countries with a single Scandinavian hub in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Maersk’s warehouse in Gothenburg “offers a location at a port with direct connections to Asia,” said Ed Meergartt, general manager of logistics operations, Canon Europe NV.
