Cargill sells grain transfer facility to Associated Terminals    Cargill will sell its grain transfer facility, located on the Mississippi River near Convent, La., to Associated Grain Terminals, a subsidiary of Associated Terminals. The deal is expected to close by Oct. 31.
   The facility, opened in 1981, has handled corn, rice and wheat from river-traveling barges to ocean-going ships for export.
   Associated Terminals is one of the largest marine cargo transferring companies on the Mississippi River. The company transloads cargo at nine mid-stream anchorage facilities in the lower Mississippi, as well as other dockside and on-site locations.
