CARGO EXPRESS, PAKETTILINJA FORM SCHENKER EXPRESS OY
Schenker said it is consolidating its express and parcel services in Finland into one parcel service under the name “Schenker Express Oy,” effective Jan. 1.
“The benefits for our customers will be considerable, as Schenker Express Oy is expressly specialized in producing and marketing parcel services,” said Henry Fagerstrom, managing director of Oy Schenker East Ab. “The company also has resources to further develop its operations and services.”
“Some of our customers need express services, some of them logistic value-added services like transit warehousing, pick-and-pack services and tracking services,” said Risto Lehtikangas, who will be managing director of Schenker Express Oy. “The consolidation gives us totally new potential for developing these services.”
With annual sales of euro 6 billion, nearly 32,000 employees and around 1,000 offices in the world, the Stinnes subsidiary, Schenker, is one of the world’s leading providers of integrated logistics services.
