cargo-partner opens Moldova branch    Austrian transport and logistics group cargo-partner has opened its first office in the Black Sea country of Moldova.
   The company said the Moldova office will complete its network of European subsidiaries around the Black Sea having previously opened offices in Romania (2000), Bulgaria (2003), and the Ukraine (2005).
   “Moldova as an investment and production site is becoming increasingly more interesting for numerous European companies. Our strategy to build a strong position for the Black Sea harbors and the interests of our customers in the neighboring countries, especially Romania, were a key factor in opening an office network in Moldova,” said cargo-partner head Stefan Krauter.
   The Vienna-based group achieved estimated revenue of 295 million euros ($431 million) in 2007. In Europe it has 57 offices in 17 countries with roughly 1,330 employees. It oversees interests include 25 offices with about 330 employees in India, China and the United States.
