Cargoitalia makes management appointments

Italian all-cargo airline Cargoitalia has appointed Richard Mohler to the new position of manager of network planning and revenue management.

He will be responsible for evaluating new routes, and setting revenue targets.

Mohler has spent 16 years in aviation, holding various posts including revenue management, business development, aircraft evaluation, planning, capacity management, scheduling and traffic rights. He started his career at Swissair Cargo, and also spent six years running his own aviation consultancy.

Cargoitalia also promoted Stefano Barone as its first chief representative for China and the Far East. He was industry affairs manager.

Barone's new post, based in Shanghai, involves supervising all Cargoitalia operations in the region, including setting and achieving revenue targets.

He joined Air Dolomiti in 1997, where he held various posts and was a member of the team that ultimately integrated the airline into Lufthansa. He rejoined Air Dolomiti founder Alcide Leali in 2006 to work on the project that eventually led to the purchase and relaunch of Cargoitalia.
