Cargolux adding 3rd weekly flight to Viracopos-Campinas in Brazil

Cargolux Airlines International S.A. will from the start of next month add a third weekly frequency to Viracopos-Campinas International Airport in Brazil.

Starting Feb. 3, the additional flight will depart every Saturday at 10:40 a.m. from Luxembourg via Recife, with arrival in Viracopos-Campinas at 9 p.m. local time. From there, the flight departs at 11:30 p.m. to Petrolina, arriving at 1 a.m. early Sunday morning. From Petrolina, the flight departs at 2:30 a.m., arriving back at Luxembourg at 3:45 p.m.

The current flights are operated out of Luxembourg on Tuesday morning and on Thursday afternoon, with arrival in Viracopos-Campinas on Tuesday late afternoon and on Friday early morning and connect with Cargolux's Latacunga and Bogota flights, before returning to Luxembourg.

'With this additional service, the company aims to meet the demand for increased capacity, in line with Brazil's growing economy. At the European end, forwarders welcome this additional flight that will further boost their exports to this region,' the Luxembourg all-cargo airline said in a statement.
