Cargolux has added its first-ever Boeing 747-8 freighter services to Xiamen, China; Latacunga, Ecuador; and Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
The carrier now flies its six 747-8s to 70 destinations and hopes to add service to Vietnam in the near future, offering near complete network coverage for the large freighter. Brazil still hasn’t approved 747-8 services into the country, and so the carrier has to fly 747-400 freighters into the region.
Cargolux is scheduled for a number of 747-8 deliveries in 2013. – Jon Ross
