Cargolux ramps up air freight activity to Vietnam

   Cargolux has added a second weekly flight to Ho Chi Minh City and a fourth flight to Hanoi to take advantage of the growing manufacturing base in Vietnam.
   According to the carrier, Samsung will ramp up its LCD monitor production in Ho Chi Minh City during the first quarter of next year. It also notes that Microsoft has moved phone production from nearby countries into Vietnam and is planning to export up to 50,000 tons annually. Finally, LG Electronics will build a $1.5 billion production facility in Vietnam.
