Cargolux to start Luxembourg/Gothenburg/New York service

Cargolux to start Luxembourg/Gothenburg/New York service All-cargo airline Cargolux is adding a weekly roundtrip service calling Luxembourg, Gothenburg, and New York before heading back to Gothenburg and Luxembourg, starting Jan. 6.
   The service, which uses Boeing 747 freighters, will depart Luxembourg every Saturday at 2 p.m., arriving in Gothenburg at 4.00 p.m. Departure from Gothenburg to the United States will be at 5.55 p.m., with an arrival in New York the same day at 8.30 p.m. local time.
   From New York, the service will depart the same day at 11.00 p.m., arriving on Sunday in Gothenburg at 12.20 p.m. and Luxembourg at 4.50 p.m. local time.
   The Luxembourg-based carrier said cargo moved via Gothenburg consists mostly of computer equipment, machinery, car parts, industrial cargo and pharmaceuticals.
   Cargolux also operates trucking services from Gothenburg to Copenhagen, Malmo, Oslo, Helsinki, Billund and Stockholm-Arlanda as well as daily to Luxembourg. Trucking to Gothenburg is offered from Helsinki, Billund, Stockholm, Malmo, Oslo, Copenhagen and Nykoping.
