Cargolux to start weekly Luxembourg/Saudi Arabia flights

   Luxembourg-based all-cargo airline Cargolux will offer a weekly Luxembourg to Dammam, Saudi Arabia service, starting next week.

   The Luxembourg/Dammam service will use a Boeing 747 freighter aircraft and will make its first flight Oct. 31. The service will operate every Monday with a departure at 9 p.m. local time, arriving in Dammam on Tuesday morning at 4.45 a.m local time. The flights will continue to Hong Kong before returning to Luxembourg.

   Cargolux said on-board freight for these flights will include oil-drilling equipment from the United States, plus machinery and general cargo.

   In Saudi Arabia, Aerologistix-Manama will act as Cargolux’s agent. National Flight Services will provide ramp services, and Saudi Arabian Airlines will manage the cargo handling.
