CargoSmart launches supply chain software

CargoSmart launches supply chain software Software-as-a-service provider CargoSmart Ltd. said it has released two new supply chain software products.
   The Exception Management and Milestone Assignments products are designed to assist shippers, consignees, and logistics service providers increase supply chain visibility and improve collaboration, the Hong Kong-based firm said.
   Exception Management is a proactive problem recognition program that automatically alerts customers to key events during logistics arrangements and detects exceptions to previously defined and expected shipment plans.
   Milestone Assignments allows users to assign tasks related to the shipment to supply chain partners who can then update the status of the tasks within the CargoSmart software environment.
   The two products allow for 'spot changes to expected shipment plans and improve workflow management' while managing users' multiple-carrier shipment information, the company said.
