CargoSmart’s suite of supply chain reports

CargoSmartÆs suite of supply chain reports    Trade software company CargoSmart said Tuesday it has released its latest line of supply chain products that aim to provide customers with supply chain visibility.
   The new products include shipment performance reports, exception management reports, and EDI performance reports.
   'The reports are designed to empower importers and exporters to optimize shipment routes based on transit times, minimize transportation costs, improve data quality, and reduce supply chain risk,' the company said in a statement.
   'It is time-consuming and difficult for shippers to determine if cargo has been loaded, held on dock, or missed the vessel,' said Joe O'Brien, managing director of CargoSmart North America.
   The shipment performance reports allow shippers, on a monthly basis, to view their shipments' performance through charts and summary tables that measure the percentage of containers that loaded on time by port and carrier.
   The exception management reports allow shippers to receive daily and weekly updates in Excel to determine if any shipments are overdue at key points in the supply chain.
   The EDI performance reports all shippers to identify missing and out-of-sequence events by ports and carriers.
