CargoWise makes French connection

   CargoWise, a provider of technology services for logistics companies, announced an expansion into the European road transport market through a deal with the French logistics provider Dimotrans S.A.
   CargoWise will implement its ediEnterprise service across all of Dimotrans’ 23 French offices, providing forwarding and transportation management capabilities.
   After the initial French push, the ediEnterprise system will be expanded to operations in the Far East where CargoWise already has a significant footprint.
   In a statement, CargoWise said it has heavy investment plans for the European transportation and distribution market, and the Dimotrans deal advances its plans for a global supply chain offering.
   “This significant win demonstrates our focus on France and Europe and coincides with the release of our localized French user interface and transport documents,” said Steve Corbet, CargoWise’s vice president of business development in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. “Along with our German and other European localizations, it defines and validates our EU commitment.”
