CARLTON NAMED CHAIRMAN OF OECD MARITIME TRANSPORT COMMITTEE

      Bruce Carlton, the acting head of the U.S. Maritime Administration, has been named the new chairman of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development’s Maritime Transport Committee.

      Carlton, who has taken a major role in bilateral negotiations with Japan and China over the years, succeeds Ryoichi Sonoda of Japan’s Ministry of Transport.
