CaroTrans adds Shanghai-Boston LCL service

   Non-vessel-operating common carrier CaroTrans has started a new all-water less-than-containerload import service from Shanghai to Boston.  
   The first sailing of this weekly service was Oct. 20.  This offering is in response to requests from importers for a fast service direct to Boston that bypasses New York metropolitan area congestion, the NVO said.
   The new service offers a 32-day transit from Shanghai to Boston. In addition to its new Boston service, CaroTrans also offers weekly Shanghai LCL service to Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, South Africa, and South America.
   CaroTrans is experiencing significant China market growth. The NVO offers LCL consolidation services to the United States from multiple China ports including Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Xingang, and Ningbo. CaroTrans will soon open its seventh China office in Qingdao.
