Non-vessel-operating common carrier CaroTrans now offers a less-than-containerload service from Miami to Itajai, Brazil.
For the service, cargo moves direct from any one of CaroTrans’ 24 U.S. freight receiving stations via Miami. From Miami to Itajai is a 22-day transit.
“Our exclusive partner in Brazil, Craft Multimodal, is a dominant player in the region that handles over 40 percent of all Brazil LCL cargo,” said Greg Howard, global chief executive officer at CaroTrans, noting Craft is the NVO’s agent in Itajai.
CaroTrans’ Brazil service also includes direct consolidations from Miami, New York, Charleston, Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles. In addition to Itajai, the NVO’s Brazil destinations include Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande, Vitoria, and Paranagua.
