CAROTRANS NAMES AGENT IN ITALY    CaroTrans International, the neutral non-vessel-operating common carrier, has named CFG Overseas its exclusive import/export agent for cargo to and from Italy.
   CFG Overseas is based in Melzo with container freight stations in Milano, Bergamo, Genova, Treviso and Napoli, and a terminal in Chiasso, Switzerland. The company also has an intra-Italy truck operation, and is the only NVO in Italy with a private bonded warehouse.
   Genova is the inbound port of arrival used by CFG Overseas for its U.S.-originated cargo and for export cargo to the Far East, Mediterranean and the United States. The company uses Gioia Tauro and La Spezia for Middle East and Sub-Indian Continent cargoes. The company also offers transshipment services to Mediterranean and European destinations, primarily Ireland, the United Kingdom and Eastern European countries.
   CFG Overseas moves full-containerload volumes direct to New York, Charleston and Chicago.
   CaroTrans offers direct weekly service to and from Italy from Baltimore, Charleston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco and Seattle. Based in Union, N.J., CaroTrans operates sales offices in 11 U.S. cities and 26 receiving stations throughout North America.
