CATHAY COMES TO THE TABLE

CATHAY COMES TO THE TABLE

Cathay Pacific Airways will meet with its pilots and Hong Kong
government officials in an effort to settle a pay dispute that has forced
the airline to cancel more than 100 flights last week.
Many of Cathay’s pilots have called in sick to protest a June 11
deadline for choosing between a pay cut of up to 22 percent, early
retirement or dismissal.
Cathay’s pilot union has voted to strike if any pilots are fired after
this Friday. Hong Kong law forbids such labor actions.
