Cathay shuffles management

Cathay shuffles management    Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific Airways has announced a number of senior management changes, which will take effect during the second half of the year.
   James Barrington, director of sales and marketing, has been appointed director of corporate development. Rupert Hogg, who serves as director of cargo, will become director of sales and marketing.
   Tomasz Smaczny, general manager for information management, has been promoted to director of information management. He replaces Edward Nicol, who is retiring after 35 years with the Swire group.
   Richard Hall, general manager for aircrew, will become director of flight operations, a post held by Nick Rhodes, who has been named director of cargo.
