The acquisition will enable the ocean-carrier to “expand its supply of space for two main export products in Chile: fruits and salmon,” CCNI said in a statement.
CCNI said the container purchase follows its order, in conjunction with German ship owner Peter Dohle, of three container vessels at a cost of $141 million.
