CDC Software and Consona join under Aptean umbrella

   CDC Software and Consona Corp, both enterprise application software (EAS) providers, have merged to form Aptean.
    The combined Aptean organization will now cover more than 9,000 customers, 1,500 employees, and a global network of sales and support operations. Both companies provides EAS in on-premise and cloud flavors 
    “This merger supports our business model and fits with our strategy by increasing Aptean’s exposure in well-defined vertical markets,” said Monte Ford, president of the new merged company. “Consona and CDC have complementary solutions in key application areas, including customer relationship management (CRM), enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain management (SCM).”
   Ford promised that Aptean would continue to make application invesments and advancements for the existing Consona and CDC software, while developing new products and features around its CRM, ERP, and SCM offerings.
   Customers will initially benefit from access to existing platforms from each former company, and down the road they should expect new services and applications that not only build on both foundations but can be easily and properly integrated with those systems originally from CDC and Consona.
   CDC and Consona have both worked with companies of all sizes, ranging from small businesses to Global 2000 enterprises, and in targeted vertical markets including financial services, manufacturing, distribution, medical, high tech, and professional services.
