CEVA CEO to retire in January

   CEVA Logistics announced today that Marvin O. Schlanger will retire from his post as chief executive officer of the company on Jan 2., 2014, and will be succeeded by Xavier Urbain.
   Schlanger, who has served as CEO since October 2012, will remain non-executive chairman of the company board, a title he has held since 2009.
   “When I assumed the leadership position at CEVA, I had a number of immediate priorities to position the company for success in the future,” Schlanger said in a statement. “I am pleased with our progress and the accomplishments of the management and employees of CEVA, and I am excited that we have been able to recruit an executive with the background and stature of Xavier Urbain. I look forward to working with Xavier and the board of directors as we execute CEVA’s business plan.”
   Urbain, who has worked in the logistics industry since 1982, joins CEVA after holding management positions at ACR Logistics Group and Kuehne + Nagel.
   CEVA Logistics recently announced it had secured a three-year, 30 million euro ($40.45 million) contract to manage the Italian and Spanish logistics activities for Daikin Europe.
