CEVA expanding distribution center in Brazil
CEVA said it will invest 6 million euros ($8.7 million) doubling the size of a distribution center in Jundia', in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
When completed, the site will be about 25,000 square meters (270,000 square feet) and have capacity for over 20,000 pallet positions for storing electronics, consumer goods and office supplies.
At the Jundia' DC, CEVA carries out reception, storage, shipping and transport management activities for customers like Nivea, ABN Amro and Philips.
Paulo Franceschini, business development director for CEVA Logistics South America, said the company has set a growth target of 10 percent.
The company said customers served by the distribution center in Jundia' were responsible for 3 percent of CEVA’s turnover for 2007.
